S-5!® B-clamp
The S‑5!® B-clamps with an opening slot of 6 mm are especially suitable for copper roofs with double standing seam. The B-clamps are made of brass and thus enable material-compatible and professional installations on copper roofs.
The B-clamp with two grub screws and top-side, central M8 thread and M8x16 stainless steel screw is used for high loads, such as for individual fastenings and fall protection. Other areas of application include direct PV installation with the S‑5!® PVKIT, the RoofTech snow guard with single or double pipe, walkways, and much more.

The S‑5!® B-Clamp and B-Mini with M8 thread can with different adapter plates can be flexibly combined for mounting rail systems with screw channels underneath or on the side.
Please note when using the S‑5!® B‑clamps made of brass in conjunction with other metals:
Copper is not at risk from other metals due to its position on the positive side of the electrochemical voltage range. Copper can be safely combined with lead and stainless steel. In principle, any combination of copper with lead and stainless steel (material numbers 1.4321, 1.4401, 1.4571) is safe.
Assembling copper (including brass B-terminals) and aluminum is relatively unproblematic if the aluminum has a non-electrically conductive surface due to coating or anodization, so that water containing copper cannot form an electrochemical element with the aluminum. Direct contact between the two metals can be prevented by arranging a joint or by using an intermediate layer of non-conductive materials (e.g. stainless steel). The copper ions contained in the water cannot then form an electrochemical element with the aluminum.
The arrangement of copper above titanium zinc or galvanized steel should be avoided, as copper ions carried by draining water can lead to the formation of elements on the titanium zinc or galvanized steel and thus destroy it. Iron elements should not be arranged above copper components. These tend to rust as they continue to weather. Rinsing off this iron oxide can form brown run-off marks on the copper protective layer that is forming, which are perceived as optical disturbances to the overall appearance. However, there is no risk of the copper material being endangered in these cases either.

stainless steel saddle for copper roofs
As a cost-effective alternative and for easy further installation with aluminum clamps, we offer the stainless steel saddle for copper roofs. The 55 mm long RoofTech E-saddle made of stainless steel creates a separation between the double standing seam of the copper roof and an S-5!® E-clamp, E-Mini or E-Mini flange made of aluminum, thus preventing electrochemical corrosion.
The group of S‑5!® E clamps can therefore be used in conjunction with the E saddle on copper roofs with double standing seams (up to a maximum of 5 mm seam thickness).
