To protect the solar system
from nesting birds.
The BirdBlocker is the ideal solution for permanently efficient and safe PV systems.

Examples of BirdBlocker installations

BirdBlocker – Installation without screwing, drilling or gluing.
It is important that the BirdBlocker strips are installed all the way around the solar system and that the BirdBlocker needles are firmly positioned on the roof surface. Module frames that have a flat inner profile with a frame thickness of 1,2 - 2mm are suitable, to which the BirdBlocker strips can be easily and permanently mounted using the stainless steel fastening clips.

Generally please note:

The respective BirdBlocker installation instructions must always be observed. The BirdBlocker should only be installed by specialists with experience in installing PV systems on roofs. It is important that the installation is closed all the way round and that the needles of the BirdBlocker are stable on the roof surface so that there is resistance.

The owner and user must check the suitability of their solar system for the intended purpose. BirdBlocker is not 100% protection against birds building nests or against other animals under the solar system. However, due to its design, BirdBlocker greatly disturbs and hinders birds and other animals from accessing the system. BirdBlocker works best as a preventative measure to prevent bird nuisance.

The fitter carrying out the work is responsible not only for the correct installation, but also for the roof and the solar system on which he is installing. The installation instructions do not release the company carrying out the work from the obligation to clarify in advance the possible uses and applications of our products in connection with the other materials and products used on the individual object. If technical details are not described separately, this does not release the company carrying out the work from the obligation to examine the individual case and clarify the technically correct facts beforehand.

Before installing the BirdBlocker, old nests and other dirt should be removed from under the solar system.

DO NOT install the BirdBlocker during the breeding season. Birds will do everything they can to get under the solar panels because of their urge to nest. If there are nests with eggs or young birds, the relevant animal protection laws must be observed and the veterinary office may need to be contacted in advance. In several countries, it is even a criminal offense to disturb the birds during the breeding season.

Before installation, the specialist company responsible for the installation must ensure that the installation is carried out strictly in accordance with national and site-specific building regulations, occupational safety and accident prevention regulations.
rules, standards and environmental protection regulations. Every person who installs the BirdBlocker is obliged to inform themselves about all rules and regulations for technically correct planning and installation and to comply with these during installation. This also includes obtaining the latest status of the rules and regulations.
